Too many stock splits are not in the best interest of shareholders IMHO. When the float becomes very large, it's increasingly difficult for the stock price to gain appreciation.

I think JDSU is far from that point. If it continues to grow and come through with earnings, there is nothing stopping it from going a lot higher even with larger float.

Sorry for repeating this over and over but it is not even in the S and P 500 yet.

An example of the large float problem is AOL. However, i don't even think that is the factor for them---it is the free internet issue for them.

I don't buy the large float argument for JDSU yet. 1 year from now---i don't know.
Large companies like Oracle, Cisco, SUNW, MSFT had no problem going a lot higher even with large floats.
