Here's my definition of PE:

A PE is what mutual fund managers use in picking stocks.

My kids' fund (growth) went up something like 0.8% last year, based probably on the manager looking at PEs of stocks. Something's wrong when you make 0.8% in a market like this.

I'm selling them today. May even buy some Broadcom with the proceeds.

Tomorrow, the manager for that fund will be out on the street looking for a job.

Soon, brokers who recommended mutual funds like this may be out looking for a job, too.

Maybe both can get some good advice from reading threads in Silicon Investor.
