WARNING to potential Web Street Customers. This has got to be one of the worst brokers out there.

I transferred my trading account to another broker last year, but was foolish enough to keep my IRA with Web Street. I don't use my IRA very often, but when I do there is always a problem.

This morning I tried to buy 1000 shares of GWRX at a limit of 18. That was 45 minutes ago. Still no confirmation even though the ask price has dipped as low as 17 7/8 several times. I tried calling, but was left on hold for over a half hour before I gave up. I don't know whether I own this stock or not. Trying to cancel the order is pointless. I know from past experience that cancellations are pretty much ignored.

This is not an isolated incident. The incompetence of these people borders on being criminal. I'm applying for a new broker today, something I should have done months ago.

Don't let the promise of "free trades" fool you. Those free trades have cost me thousands of dollars.
