** OT ** Do all US brokers preclude trading Canadian stocks?

I seem to recollect Max saying he traded them sometimes. At some point, Canadian stocks will outperform US issues. There's also good issues like NT, NSATF, ATYT, and ZICA, which are of course Canadian issues you can buy on US markets.

The other issue is that the American dollar is dropping against world currencies. If you buy Canadian stocks, it's a hedge against further negative moves. On the other side of the coin, my portfolio is off a few thousand the last few days purely because I carry most of my cash in the trading account in US dollars.
