Apparently a Y2K glitch was responsible for my limit order to sell at $6 being reported by Ameritrade as having filled on 1/1/2000. Although their website still shows the trade as a fill, an Ameritrade account representative tells me on the phone that the trade never really happened. He said that the market maker made a mistake. The won't admit that Y2K had anything to do with the mistake. They say it is just a problem with the market maker having had more volume on Dec. 31 than he could handle. Yeh, right!
