thanks everyone for the dsl and cable info... you guys are great!! i cant get the dsl through sw bell... i am 17,700 feet away from the switching station, so i can only get some other kind of lower speed dsl through another provider... the cablemodem is roadrunner... and from what they are saying it sounds alot faster than the limited variety of dsl available to me here... intall is cheaper on the 144kbs dsl, actually its free... but if the cable modem is so much faster, as they are telling me it is (2.5 million bits/second vs 144kbs) i guess i will probably go with cable for now, at least until dsl is avail here... thanks again... kathy :)
