>>Once the changes you are talking about are made, it will be too late to buy the stock<<

So are you suggesting it is now or never? I always thought it was "better late than never". That's the approach I would take with CompUSA anyway. It could begin its recovery run at $2.50, then I can buy at $3.50. <ggg>

Management will have to find a way to excite and bring in the customer before anything substantial happens. A complete store re-remodel is in order, along with TV ads. Too bad they don't have room for "digital" music and audio. That's what will bring in the layman traffic. Not camcorders, phones and pagers. DVD's and players, but no HDTVs. Maybe Slim understands that, and is waiting for the opportunity, maybe not. It doesn't take a brain surgeon, though, to walk in a CompUSA store and see that management is CLUELESS. Their current solution speaks for itself.

They have all this cash and cannot do an intelligent thing with it. What in heaven's name has management been waiting for?

I was thinking like you this past spring - with all the cash and cash flow, management has plenty of resources to improve the product mix and turn this company around. However, that was almost a year ago and management's solution turned out to be lame. I took my investment dollar elsewhere. Haven't missed anything yet.

Suggestion for a current name change: InCompetentUSA
