I was thinking that wiping out competition would be the prime reason for acquiring ETEK. If they feel it won't pass the regulators, then maybe they won't try it. I am willing to state that if they thought it would get through the regulators, they would do it. It prevents the emergence of a possible SDLI/ETEK combined threat.

As Steven pointed out, it appears the acquisition phase is over according to KK. However, if the stock price moves better on a relative basis, they could be tempted.
