UK: Ebookers.com buys Norwegian travel agent.

LONDON, Jan 3 (Reuters) - British online travel company ebookers.com on Monday
said it had agreed to buy Geotours AS, a Norwegian travel agency, for one
million dollars in cash and shares.

Based in Oslo, Geotours sells discounted fares and currently generates about
10 percent of its sales online. Geotours' revenues totalled $7.5 million in
1999.

ebookers, which listed on Nasdaq and Germany's Neuer Markt in November,
recently bought STT Airways in Sweden and Lloyd Tours in Finland. The
Norwegian deal gives ebookers a significant presence in three European
countries with some of the highest levels of Internet penetration in the
world.

ebookers, which bills itself as Europe's leading online travel agent, now has
online sales in the UK, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden and Norway, with
additional operations in Switzerland and Ireland. It also plans to expand into
Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Denmark.
