Tech stocks leading on the Dow included Hewlett-Packard (HWP: NYSE)), which rose 3 11/16 to 117 7/16. IBM (IBM: NYSE) climbed 8 1/8 to 116 and Intel (INTC: NASDAQ) gained 3 3/16 to 122 13/16.
