That's assuming the pc's processor is designed the way they are now. Just as the floating point processor used to be a separate chip & later integrated w/ the main processor (greater speed due less off-chip traffic & reduced cost due to fewer parts) so too could modem functions be added to the processor w/ a proper design. If so, and if DMT were used .... Intel sells one heck of a lot of pc's.
