Richard,

When I started the contest my goal was to determine the winner based upon the hypothetical investor who would buy the stock at the market open on Jan. 3 and sell at market close on Dec. 31. This would determine the gain for the year 2000.

I would do some things differently the next time based upon what I have learned. What you said makes alot of sense, but at this point I think I have to stick with the rules otherwise others will complain. Perhaps next year (if I do this again)I will change it. There were several in the contest today like BLSW. However, in defense of using today's opening price, BLSW did trade today at 130 1/2 so I am assuming that it closed down based upon somewhat heavy selling.

Most of all, I appreciate your comments. I know that this contest is
not perfect . . . I will get the bugs out this year so next year it will be perfect!!

Katie K.
