Welcome to the TRADESCAPE.com thread.

Since joining Silicon Investor back in 96, this is my very first thread. I hope this can be a place where we can have interesting discussions about advanced trading topics, How Tradescape might be better/worse than the other web-based trading platforms (i.e. datek, etrade, ameritrade, et. al.).

Here is crack at starting some discussion:

It seems like Tradescape has potential to draw in a unique crowd: The people who want leave their over-crowded browser based trading platforms for something a little more personal, and a lot more sophisticated. Perhaps you, like myself have a working job, sit at a computer all day long and that gives you the opportunity to a lot of trading during the day through the web, but maybe you sit at a Mac, or like me, a Unix Workstation, and can't install some large WindowsNT trading application on your work computer. So like me you've been stuck with Datek, Etrade, or whatever hoping that someone would come out with an advanced trading platform that you can use right in your web browser. Does Tradescape's new Pro package fit this description? How does the price of $1.50/hundred shares compare to the other high-end services? Is anybody out there signed up for the Pro package who has had a chance to trade with one of the other web-based brokerage firms? Let's light this candle.

Happy New Year to all of you. May we all prosper in the new millennium!

Regards,

Robert
