Dug,

A lot of small businesses and individuals will probably encounter various problems this week and quietly solve them by uploading new software. The need to keep up with upgrades should also induce some to consider more bandwidth. I installed a cable modem a few weeks ago and I love it. The first thing I did was to download IE5 in 11 minutes.

My personal preparations for Y2K consisted of picking up a few steak Chalupas at Taco Bell. I'd say my site spent less than 5% of its budget on Y2K: testing vendor mods, installing upgrades, and modifying interfaces, etc. No production problems so far, and just one minor glitch with a system tool.

I admit I get a certain amount of fiendish delight out of seeing other people's hilarious computer bugs published. Of course, mine will never see the light of day! <g>
