Eric, be patient, it's "almost" time to buy Yhoo puts.

Jan - I'm thinking about purchasing a small amount of puts on the 11th (Yahoo's report date) and then perhaps more on the 12th (day after). History shows a pattern of a major run-up the day of announcement, and then a pull-back afterward. The problem with this time around is that Yahoo is most certainly going to announce a stock split - which will most likely send the stock higher. However, I'm almost willing to buy a small number of puts on the 11th anyway - knowing that there is a strong likelihood they will be worth nothing on the morning of the 12th (if the historical pattern holds, they will be worth something).

-Eric
