This is probably not the reason for todays rise, but for some companies that have large profitable short positions, covering would be a way of taking these profits that people had been afraid to take in 99. So, taking profits in this case would help the stocks.

Now, no matter what you think, I'd think there must be some short covering. At what stage does this become the reason for GMGC going up? Certainly, there seems to be no concrete reason yet to drive this great rise.

Maybe we see some Onstar ads on the Superbowl?
