I'm sorry to say...but "T" has told us to expect
"flat" and Q2 delcining earnings for '97. Expect price pressure going
forward with more investments & RBOC entry.

I will add one bright note. The company said on the yesterday's conference call that they expect savings as they move all traffic
to the newly constructed Sonet ATM backbone. This will decrease the
cost of operations...don't know how much..but it MUST be big...after
all..they are investing several $billion in this buildout.
