Well put Chuzz, but I would disagree with one thing in your statement - the entire philosophy OF it... the market doesn't care whether or not what Merrill says makes any sense. Statements like saying that DELL will only do well if they raise gross margins without impacting the top line are complete nonsense. They might as well say "DELL will only do well if they make a lot of money without spending a lot of money". And statements like DELL has risen over the past couple of weeks for no apparent reason is also nonsense. How many stocks could we say THAT about? QCOM doubled in a week for no apparent reason (nothing changed at the company in that week)... the problem is - none of that logic matters at all... it's all psychology - and it's clearly negative at this point in time... DELL has been a relative laggard (relative to its own past performance that is) for the last year... this is no surprise... your thoughts are always appreciated... regards, B
