Here is more info from World Street Journal

Orders in the latest month increased 0.5% to $3.2 billion,
from $3.19 billion in April. However, the orders are
24.1% lower than the May 1995 figure of $4.22 billion.
May billings fell 3.1% to $3.79 billion, from April's
billings of $3.92 billion.
