Bill this is a good article to print out and keep with the QCOM file.

The article was published in Feb 97 and has only improved over the years. I still refer to it on occasion and am amazed in retrospect at what has occurred with QCOM and CMDA. Gilder laid it out like a roadmap for all to see. I still kick myself in the butt over QCOM because I read this article at that time and still have the ASAP magazine with the paperclips in it and QCOM highlighted in the article. I realized the importance and thought QCOM with CMDA is like MSFT with the PC OS. He who has the keys to the standard will dominate. I just never got around to picking up those 100 starter shares so to speak until much much later.

Telecosm and Beyond: Over the Paradigm Cliff
Things change because smart folks figure out how to provide abundance where before there was scarcity, thus creating new scarcities for clever innovators to fill. CDMA wireless technology turns spectrum scarcity on its ear.
