People sell because they don't want the stock. There are better investments elsewhere. (Anyone here getting rich in the best market in history??...not from pvf!) People buy because they want the stock--either they are stupid or they see something of value in the future. When more people sell the stock goes down. When more people buy the stock goes up. Admitedly this is fairly simple. It lacks the pezazz of a conspiracy theory (They are selling because they really want to buy) or the glow of the Duffless Theory (the same people buy more and more and more cow manure because the like to wallow in in. But it cuts to the quick. Barring a major event we will not move.
