Yahoo! tuning out RealNetworks? dailynews.yahoo.com I didn't see your post until now. I don't want to be a day trader. I'm thinking more on the order of weeks or months. Cycles do exist. I will not dig in and try to defend a position having significant risk. The buy and hold strategy has been highly successful and now investors increase the margin debt to buy as much stock as possible -- too many people are doing the same thing now. And they have been protected up to now by increasing liquidity and a strong economy. I feel the risk is too great to be a buy and hold type investor these days. It may continue to work, but the risk is much greater now than when you presumably started building your portfolio.
