Marc, I can understand your frustration but beating on McCracken
as the main source of the problem is unfair. To give you three
points to think about:

1) McCracken is one of the _lowest_ paid CEO compared to company
revenues in the industry. In fact even in SGI there are at least
two execs who are paid more than McCracken (Source: the SJ
Mercury News exec pay survey)

2) People tend to have short memories. It was under Ed McCracken's
leadership that SGI increased its revenue and profits ten fold.

3) Go and ask the employees what they think of Ed. He is one of
the most liked CEOs among the grunts.

It has become popular to beat on Ed McCracken lately so I just
wanted to bring some balance and facts into this dicussion.
You have every right to wish he would be replaced, but please
don't blame his salary on SGI troubles.
