Argentina Gold Corp. Announces Further Drill Results at Veladero

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Argentina Gold Corp. (the "Company") is
pleased to announce the following drill results received to date from
the current gold exploration program at the Veladero Project. A total
of 1,237 metres have so far been drilled out of a 4,000 metre targeted
program. The program has been designed to test geochemical and
geophysical anomalies at the NW Target and the Federico Ridge Target.

In a news released dated April 20, 1997 partial results for holes
V97-40 and V97-41 were reported. Complete results for these holes are
in the following table.

Good weather conditions continue and given the very large size of
the targets, an enlargement of the drilling program to at least
5,000 metres is being considered.

At the Del Carmen Project, the Company is pleased to report that a
4,000 reverse circulation drilling program commenced today. Results
will be announced as soon as available.
