(Off topic.) Finnish is in the Finno-Ugric branch of the Indo-European language group. It is unrelated to any of its Scandinavian or Slavic neighbors (and certainly unrelated to Welsh). The only other living Finno-Ugric language in Europe or anywhere, I believe, is Hungarian. To my knowledge, no one really knows why Finnish and Hungarian are related and how they came to be isolated in the widely-separated regions of modern-day Finland and Hungary.
