announced that it is broadening its CompactCard(TM) family of Windows CE(R) solutions to include 56K Modem and wireless GSM technologies. As the
only provider of a full family of CompactFlash communications solutions for handheld computers, Xircom is now shipping the CompactCard Modem56
GlobalACCESS(TM) (CFM56G) and CompactCard GSM(TM) (CFGSM), in addition to the currently available CompactCard Ethernet 10(TM)
(CFE-10BT), enabling Windows CE users to access email, browse the Internet and synchronize information worldwide.

Xircom's CompactCard Modem 56 GlobalACCESS gives Windows CE users access to a variety of online information resources through a convenient, high
speed V.90 56K connection. The CFM56G features CountrySelect(TM) software for easy modem configuration worldwide and also allows for optional
wireless GSM data support via Xircom GSM Connection Kits for anytime, anywhere usage. The CFM56G has additional Xircom modem features including
Digital Shield(TM) for high current line protection and modem LEDs for status information at a glance.
For customers requiring only wireless GSM connections, the Xircom CompactCard GSM connects to a variety of popular GSM handsets creating a digital
wireless link, at speeds up to 9600bps, for access to E-mail, the Internet and fax services. Also included is a full-featured communications suite with a
phonebook program for phone and fax number storage and a utility for viewing, logging, sending and receiving Short Message Service (SMS)
communications.
