Rudedog: Re Dell Management discussions
Always good to read your comments. It appears Dell is doing exactly as they have said, plus a few things we don't know about yet
because Dell does not speculate in public, only when deal is done do we hear about it
Employees have grown from 8000, to 18000, to 33000 at last count with at least 3400 new at Nashville, perhaps 500 in Brazil.
May be at 40000 today and within 6 months to a year Dell will
be #1 in PC sales over CPQ
Thus manpower is a problem and Dell has chosen to contract with other companies for general worldwide service efforts, while building the high level in-house services for major companies requiring complex
integration of many systems.
Part of Dells "model" is to work closely with other companies, and in doing so reduce the cost to Dell of products needed. Expect even
more deals and closer work with IBM who will be providing their
very latest technology demanded by Dell business customers.
Summary
Well, hey, just trying to think positive (G)
