Your example is probably more fitting, since no one here can remember the affect steel had on the economy in the 1900's, unless they were from Pittsburg. I wonder if the new NFL franchises will be named after technologies? Instead of Packers, Oilers, Steelers, we'll have the Dell's, Q's, and Softie's? Well, maybe Softie's wouldn't work for football. : ) Q rocks, time to score...
