Hi telecomguy & all - it looks like NT got hurt most today maybe b/c 1) the Canadian market is also weak and 2) margin calls to those momentum crowd leveraging too much. Certainly, the short has an upper hand. The moral of the story, IMHO, is that: bull and bear make it, but the pig will be slaughtered [and the chicken can stay home :)] If one is a bull, ride it as hard as one can no matter how bad the shake. If one is a bear, hug it as hard as one can no matter how bad the squeeze. The pig who is too greedy is living on borrowed time [and money.] It is hard to defend its turf comes the reversal. So, folks, even if one has to be fully invested at all times, don't over leverage. Better still, have some dry powder for rainy days.
[personally note, I ve actually been adding mutual fund positions in the last 2 days and I ve also bought a little ALN [got a contract with NT] and SYMM.]
best, Bosco |
