I consider myself very bullish on the technology developed by WIND. However, the recent correction is very disconcerting. It appears as much more than just healthy consolidation and looks more like big money is bailing. Look at the volume increase over the past two days, accompanied by significant price drops. I wonder about the increased short selling of WIND mentioned on this thread earlier this week (or maybe over the weekend). Someone speculated the cause might be due to smart money thinking the pending merger may bring management headaches.

So, even though I am bullish on the technology, I have seen no strength in WIND over the last couple weeks, which seems odd. Does anyone know of pending announcements from competitors? What is the probability of Microsoft stepping on WIND?

Any comments?
