sorry must have missed this...

i use--for stocks---the standard box size on the P&F charts, based on the price of the stock...
1-point boxes for under 100, and 2 point boxes for over 100...either daily, or otherwise...sometimes i'll go to 5 point boxes to smooth the whole chart if it's very volitile..

as for daytrading...i would think a 5 min chart, with 3 box reversals would be a good less volitile trading vehicle...for stocks..for SPOOS probably the 1 min chart...i'm used to 3 box reversals for ALL stocks & indexs and such..i have my eyes trained for that look..on the charts...
