That could mean one of three things I think...

1. Negotiate with Intel to never ever look at AMD again, for more preference on CPU supply. I don't think this is it, since they basically said they aren't going to let others push them around.

They already did this.....and look where it got them.

2. File a lawsuit against Intel, to convince them to "fix" the supply "actions."

What basis? Breach of contract? I just don't see it.

3. Begin offering AMD based systems, including Athlon, K6-2(+), K6-3(+), and all future AMD CPU's.

Number 3 makes most sense to me.

Let me see....how's this as a possible scenario...last year GTW decides it wants preferential treatment from Intel...so it uses AMD as a lever to get more favorable terms. AMD is finally dropped for good in the fall with the Athlon a "no-go" A month or so later, GTW realizes they aren't getting enough chips so they scramble to take another look at the Athlon. In the scramble the rumors filter out. But by this time it is too late with a supply constraint of Athlon MBs and some possible legal issues due to the new "favorable" contract with Intel. TW retires in order to play more online Quake with Paul E. GTW adopts K7?
