If you think Uncle Frank is speaking for himself, it only serves to underscore that you may never appreciate the distateful impact of your comments. I was as offended as I was saddened by your self-serving and irrelevent autobiography.

I am 72, comfortably financially, with three children, none of whom went to private schools, all of whom had part-time jobs from high school through grad school, none of whom was given a car and and all of whom have the best gift my wife and I ever gave them; a set of values that provides us a sense of pride that money cannot buy. You may have your Lexus but I wouldn't trade it for what my daughter got the other day: a piece of the Nobel peace prize for her work with Doctors Without Borders. Her salary: $12,000 a year.

I guess I can be accused of boasting as well. But I've been a free rider on this board for many months but never before found an opening to say a few words and, in passing, to thank all for the maturity and civility so rarely found in these free-for-all discussions.
