hb, IFC stands for The Internet Financial Connection, a newsletter published by Silicon Investor. If you go to the SI Home Page, you can scroll down and find the latest piece, an interview with the Internet King. I have been contributing to Mark Johnson's newsletter 3 or 4 times a year for quite a while. I think he likes to have me on every once in a while to counter the mostly pollyanna pieces he gets from others. But even the pie in the sky stuff is worth reading, because it is nice to hear the bulls state their case before making a decision about how many holes it has in it.
You know the names of the stocks I hate, for the most part. The only one that was vague was all internut IPOs over six months of age with a price above $50, ranging from Ask Jeeves to Vignette. There are too many to list in one article.
The others, like TMX and TBH, Dell, IBM, etc. have all been mentioned here many times before, as has Gateway. BMCS had not been mentioned often as I was putting the finishing touches on a research report recommending a short sale to hedge funds. I guess today puts the kabosh on that. Back to the old drawing board. <g> My backup, in case something like this happened, was USIX, which also took it in the shorts. I think I should use a bisquit mix instead of baking from scratch. <g> |
