Think about it...a company going bankrupt does NOT acquire a new building, especially of this caliber:
chronicleinc.com
Chronicle is scheduled to finalize the purchase on Friday. I am from the Tampa area and also in commercial real estate, specializing in shopping centers and office building properties. Sabal Park is one of the hottest business corridors in the entire city, along the I-75 corridor and nestled into the biggest boom town the area has seen in ages, Brandon, Florida with the new Brandon Town Center Mall minutes from CRNC's new headquarters. This is no shabby entrance for them into 2000!! CRNC is doing things first class. And did you notice....THEY ARE NOT LEASING, THEY ARE BUYING THEIR OWN BUILDING....this is one of the biggest statements of confidence the company could be making....
IMO, CRNC is planning to be around for a long time.
For anyone that missed the PR, here it is..I wouldn't be surprised to see another one come out after they close on Friday:
TAMPA, Fla., Jan 4, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Chronicle Communications Inc., (OTCBB:CRNC), (http://www.chronicleinc.com) announced Tuesday, it is closing the acquisition of a 32,000 sq. ft. corporate office building on Friday, Jan. 7, 2000.
The building is located in the prestigious Sable Office Park located East of downtown Tampa. Sable Park is the address to have for "high tech" companies who have a West Coast Florida presence. Pictures of the new building can be viewed at: chronicleinc.com
Chronicle Communications Inc.'s new building will be home to corporate staff, a web hosting and development subsidiary, the Company's graphics design team, Chronicle Commercial Printing Inc., and the expansion of the Company's Ameri-Comp Computers Inc., of Houston, to include Ameri-Comp Computers, Inc., of Tampa.
"Our new building is the first of several positive issues Chronicle's management team will complete during the first quarter of 2000. Management has developed a plan that will position Chronicle and it's subsidiaries to optimize existing assets, improve revenue and unify it's marketing message. Announcements will be made frequently as implementation of each phase of management's plan is completed. We are developing a company that investors and the street will embrace," said Chronicle CEO, John V. Whitman Jr.
