Martin,

hmmmmmm...now, TMF is NOT a fan of QCOM

I don't know what you mean by that, especially in light of the report that David Gardner was quoted as saying that Qualcomm is a stock for the new milennium, whatever that means.

You're probably not familiar that it is common for Fool writers to publicly disagree with each other about companies, stocks and other matters of personal finance, to the point that one of their regular features called Dueling Fools is a forum that was developed specifically for facing off in an organized fashion. In fact, co-managers of the same real-money Fool portfolio are entitled to and sometimes do publicly disagree with each other about issues relevant to stocks in the portfolio as happened recently regarding a topic about Excite At Home; David Gardner said something on a Saturday on the nation-wide radio show and his partner, Jeff Fisher, published a piece the following Monday disagreeing with his comments.

In summary, when you write that the Fool is "NOT" a fan of Qualcomm or if you had written that the Fool IS a fan of Qualcomm, both opinions would indicate that you aren't familiar with a basic tenet of Fool editorial policy that has been in place since the company went online in August, 1994. I hope this helps clarify the organization's approach to opinion.
