Been out of ALA, but may look for an opportunity to get back in. I get my Bellsouth DSL connection up this week (if they come through with delivery). I believe they are using ALA's DSLAM systems for the central office. Huge purchase. I will let you guys know how consistent the connection is and the speed performance if interested. buck PS I chose the self install where they Fedex the DSL modem with a USB interface and a self install CD and a bunch of filters you plug into all the jacks, used or unused. Great promotion too at BellSouth.net. I got the install/central office setup FREE, the modem FREE and the first month FREE, and $59/mo thereafter w/no long term committment. What a bargain! I think DSL is going to be HUGE. All my friends are waiting to check out my connection before buying. They all want if it works! Hey Media1, got tired of wating for you to have Internet cable access in my neighborhood (Atlanta intown), besides, our TV cable STILL goes out when it rains. It's only been a problem for 10 years. No rush.
