Doug,

I would suspect then that the nomination of AG for another term could also mean that the manipulation to make inflation appear to be in check will continue unabated?

Plus the fact that BC might be thinking that AG(he) will take the knowledge of manipulation (if any can be proven) with him to his grave should he die in office (or afterwards).
