Trans Solutions Systems Selects Inprise/Borland To Web-Enable Its Business Solutions

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Inprise/Borland (Nasdaq: INPR) today announced that Trans Solutions Systems, Inc. (TSS) chose Inprise/Borland's Delphi(R) 5 Enterprise Edition to Web-enable its TranShip 2000 software solution. Trans Solutions Systems, a provider of integrated applications solutions for the ocean carrier shipping industry, used Delphi 5, Inprise/Borland's rapid application development (RAD) tool for Windows, to transform its flagship product, TranShip 2000 into a three-tiered Internet application.

TSS's clients are global ocean-shipping container corporations with extremely complex legacy data on mainframe systems requiring migration to the Internet. Using Delphi 5, TSS created Web applications that streamline the customer's operations by centralizing information onto one system.
