Good Morning Everyone,
(((E'))), just another thing in common, I loved her also, particularly in Blazing Saddles. That scene, "It's twue, it's twue", made me spit out a mouth full of popcorn to everyones amusement around me except the gentleman directly in front of me.
I have another dog poem that I want to put up today because it reaffirms why I started this thread. We may never reach the hot list, we may never actually reach the 5 digit mark in posts, but we do reach each other in ways that matter as Scott's note and poem prove!!
Todays Story:
I saw today's story (poem) and couldn't fight the urge to send this one. I wrote it for my dog, Henry, years ago.

Henry's Poem
I will always be your best friend
When you get angry and need someone to yell at
You can come and yell at me
I will still stand by your side and be your best friend
All I ask in return for my friendship
Is understanding and care from you
Please feed me and play with me; love me if you can
If you're not able to do this I will understand
I will always be your best friend
There will be times that I will upset you
I may break some of your things or be too loud
But I do not do this out of spite, rather from ignorance
Do not punish me for what I do not understand
Teach me so we may get along better
If I become ill, take me to the doctor, even though I complain
Comfort me and try to sooth my fears
Speak kindly to me so my treatment is less frightening
Do this for me and I will always be your best friend
I do not ask much of our relationship
I am willing to give totally of myself to you
I will forever love you unconditionally
This is my pledge to you: I will always be your best friend
