If hopes for Saflink are pinned on public commerce, then we're in too early for too long a wait. Saflink will be scanning from 10 feet but vertically under. This is an emerging market play to be sure but the emerging market that will sink or swim Saflink will be its' acceptance by the booming B2B online market. Businesses look for security for suppliers and from competitors far sooner than the general public. Y2K efforts showed that. B2B acceptance first will then spill over/force the retail customer's acceptance. Otherwise, bring out the horn and the 10 gun salute.
