I like your sense of Humor. Linux/Java etc I agree, knowledge is what we need, and its easy to actually learn or at least learn about these programmming lanuages and operating systems, and then we will have the necessary talent. I also agree that Corel (CORL) is usually a little too quiet on what they have or plan to do. Maybe they really don't know what they have. Novell (NOVL) didn't know what value they had in the Wordperfect Suite, and maybe it just wasn't a good fit with Netware at the time. But at that time Novell had all the money in the world, step back to then, and you will see they were like SUNW SunMicroSystems with the money and plan to even take on Microsoft MSFT, maybe that is what got to them, but I have not heard of a Netscape type of antitrust lawsuit between MSFT and NOVL, anyway, they sold off wordperfect to Corel, and eventually had to ax what was it, 6-7000 employees at Novell...sounds suspicious to me. Then Corel, which has mostly been into graphics, and still pushes CorelDraw etc more than Wordperfect...maybe they really don' see the forest for the trees. Wordperfect, with Linux in Java code thats runs on anything anywhere any platform anyway, with it sapplication suite could be the ONE STOP SHOPPING for almost most consumers. That means goodbye permanently to MSFt probably. So maybe its the contract deals, like Cowpland said, he plans to continue Wordperfect on Windows as well as Unix, Linus, and Apple/Mac operating system platforms. Oh well, maybe there will be more news. I would love to run this company for just one year, I think I could get the partnerships they need to you know, maybe rule the world like MSFT does. Any news on Cowpland's court hearing on Canadian insider or trading allegations? I am, Truly your$, -Crystal Ball |
