Marc, good post. My wife too has undergone that "paradigm shift" of cellphone from nice to have toy to important everyday life-assisting device :-)

I think wired phone lines will not go away per se, but the traffic will be overwhelmingly data. Maybe that will bring about widespread DSL service...?

I was trying to develop a handheld GG basket, and the more I read the more it feels like herding cats. I have PALM and NOK included (NOK as an owner of Symbian and in its own right); you gotta have the chipset, hence QCOM. What else would you add?
