Of course this subset of black Americans will hardly garner much attention, as they aspire to the American Dream and usually avoid fanfare. Unfortunately there seems to be so many blacks who apparently delight in being used as political pawns. These folk are the first and only folk to which the press turns when discussing blacks in politics. American blacks, being as non-thinking as most other Americans, therefore flow with the group think of the majority as presented in the press, viciously criticising any self-possessed black who would rise above them. Mediocrity loves company, and this is especially true with black mediocrity.
