Brightpoint Signs Agreement With Motorola to Distribute Wireless Local Loop Fixed Wireless Terminals in Latin America
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2000--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL - news) announced today that its subsidiary, Brightpoint Latin America Holdings, Inc., has signed an agreement with Motorola, Inc., (NYSE:MOT - news) a Delaware corporation, by and through its Network Solutions Sector, for the distribution of Wireless Local Loop (WLL) products in certain key markets of Latin America and the Caribbean such as: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Colombia. Under the agreement, Brightpoint will sell Fixed Wireless Terminals that operate on GSM and CDMA technologies.
