Call Quality: I have had about 30 minutes of Iridium calls in the last few days. Pitiful. Only one 5 minute call went without incident. Another call was abandoned in favor of an expensive alternative because conversation was literally impossible. I used to think they could offer low prices and hurt G* for awhile till they folded, but forget it. Iridium as a tool for communication is a bust.....now, as a target for the super high power military lasers, they should shine(literally! with all the propellant on board, it might make quite a show as they explode!). On to G--I have had calls lately from a G phone hitched to the car kit. Very good. Same quality as handheld, even in hands free mode. It held onto the signal perfectly, even driving under trees. I am told by the owner that there is a "millisecond" of voice cut out when you go under an overpass on a highway, but never a dropped call.
