NT had to do this but the market is still pretty small for DSL. Distance from the CO is still the biggest limiting factor for implementing DSL. I really like the technology but the phone companies are maxed out with their carrier loops and such that can't carry DSL. I live in a semi-rural area where a lot of high income people live and because the phone system is maxed out we will not see DSL for probably 2 years at best. It's funny because I live near Everett, Washington which was a test market for GTE's DSL program. There are tons of Microsoft Executives screaming for DSL out here! We still have a huge last mile problem that won't go away with this technology. Eric
