Bobby, do you know how this indicator is arrived at? complacency reigns: csf.colorado.edu EDIT: i have found out that the emotional intensity index is mainly constructed using dollar volume of index options traded...it actually fits nicely with my earlier observation that the high VIX readings are misleading in the face of ever declining index put demand. no-one seems to think bad things can happen...:) hb
