Chuzz:

I think the problems at BMC have more to do with sales forecasting than the actual health of the business. Didn't we go through a weird period three months ago where they announced a likely shortfall and then managed to hit original estimates? This was followed by a mix of downgrades and reiterated buys from confused analysts. (I came on board then at $60 and thought I was smart until this week).

I think BMC needs to reorg sales and invest in some SFA infrastructure so they have a better feel for what is in the pipeline. Also, don't forget that IBM warned last quarter about stagnant mainframe sales. There was much talk then about the implications of this on BMC. We see the effect now.

I am holding now and will buy more if we touch $40.
