I think we're all getting smarter about the games the Big Boys play on Wall Street. Exactly one month ago, DLJ downgraded ESPI and called for a target price of 4. This didn't make sense to me, given what I know about ESPI, and I got suspicious of the motivation behind it--huge buying was taking place in the stock at that very moment.

The stock dropped on the news and I bought some to put away and forget for a while. Have always felt ESPI could be a buyout target someday.

The stock dropped more but never got close to 4....and today, exactly one month later, the stock price is double the DLJ "target." Go figure. Something's up again, though, because now--30 days later--- upgrades and a new target price of 20 are coming out of the woodwork. Does this mean someone is trying to get the stock price up in preparation for something else? Fascinating to ponder it all.
